Meet Tina Galanakis

The Heart Behind YorkieHouse

Born and raised in Cleveland, Tennessee, I've spent over 30 years doing what I absolutely love—raising Yorkshire Terriers! My journey began while running my former business, TLC Groom & Board, where a special little Yorkie boy named Mighty Mo stole my heart. With his gorgeous, solid black coat that reached all the way to the ground, I knew right then that Yorkshire Terriers were going to be a big part of my life.

What I love most about Yorkies is their amazing personalities. They're loving, playful, affectionate, and have a special way of adapting to your lifestyle. Whether it's playing in the yard, going for a walk, or snuggling up for a nap, they're always happy to be by your side. After all these years, I'm still completely obsessed with this wonderful breed!

YorkieHouse is truly a family effort, and I'm grateful to have Jeremy by my side helping care for our Yorkies and keeping everything running smoothly. From supervising outdoor playtime to helping with the daily responsibilities of our kennel, we work together to make sure our dogs have a safe, comfortable, and loving environment.

Outside of YorkieHouse, I'm a proud mother and grandmother who enjoys acrylic painting, watching football, playing pool, cornhole, darts, grilling out, and singing!

Some of my happiest moments are spent watching our Yorkies run and play, capturing their adorable personalities in pictures and videos, or simply relaxing with a few curled up in my lap. They're truly part of our family.

What I hope every puppy family understands is just how much love and dedication goes into raising each little one. From staying up through the night welcoming new puppies to providing around-the-clock care for those who need extra attention, I give my whole heart to every baby. It isn't always easy, but seeing the happiness these little Yorkies bring to their new families makes every moment worthwhile.

YorkieHouse Story

YorkieHouse was built on a lifelong love of dogs and a passion for raising beautiful, healthy, and happy puppies. My journey as a breeder actually began with Pekingese, the breed I grew up loving as a child. After 10 years of raising Pekingese, I discovered the wonderful world of Yorkshire Terriers, and for the past 30 years, Yorkies have been my heart and passion.

YorkieHouse began with just six Yorkies. Over the years, I carefully selected and kept puppies from my own litters to build the foundation of the breeding program I have today. My journey also led me to importing, raising, and showing Biewer Terriers from Germany, which sparked my interest in the beautiful Parti Yorkie. As my program grew, I began incorporating other gorgeous colors, including Traditional, Chocolate, and Sable Parti.

I also introduced carefully selected bloodlines from Russia and Ukraine, focusing on the qualities I love most—adorable baby-doll faces, beautiful coats, petite size, and, above all, good health.

The name YorkieHouse has a simple meaning. It's their house! My Yorkies have a beautiful, clean, and comfortable place to call home, complete with cozy beds, toys, treats, climate-controlled living spaces, and a large yard where they can run and play. Their happiness, comfort, and well-being have always been my top priorities.

One of my greatest accomplishments isn't measured in the number of puppies I've raised, but in the relationships I've built along the way. Many of my wonderful families have returned to YorkieHouse time and time again, some for decades. They know that when they bring home one of my puppies, they're also gaining a lifetime of friendship, guidance, and support.

Through all these years, one thing has never changed: my dogs and puppies will always come first. Their health, happiness, and future are more important than any sale. I believe every puppy deserves the very best start in life and a loving home where they will be cherished.

When I look back at everything YorkieHouse has become, my greatest hope is that I'm remembered for the love, hard work, and dedication that helped so many families welcome a precious new family member into their lives.

Because at the end of the day, that's why I do what I do.
